Diabetes Micropumps - Implantable

Debiotech has developed implantable and surface plantable MEMS technology for the development of subsurface and surface drug delivery systems. Debiotech's Chronojet piezo-actuated silicon MEMS micropumps is the basis for a new disposable insulin pump for diabetes therapy. The insulin pump is based on Debiotech's Chronojet micropump chip. The programable. Credit card size and skin surface mountable Injection Pump offers remote control. Debiotech's offers its Microject product, a micro-needle technology. The technology was developed with the department of Microsystem Technology.

DEBIOTECH has worked in the areas of micromachines with the Center of Microtechnology at the Ecole polytechnique federal de Lausanne. In 2004, Debiotech entered into an agreement with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) to improve Peritoneal Dialysis.
