Bioprocessors has developed microfermentor technology which permits the growth of cell cultures under controlled conditions. The microfermentor permits the environment of a cell to be altered via computer control. An array of microfermentors under computer control permits a wide variety of cell and tissue experiments to be performed easily and simultaneously compared to older, bulkier and hence slower cell experimentation techniques.
