HRL Laboratories is a research and development services organization. The organization's services span a wide spectrum of technology and science - from materials science research, through integrated circuit design to information and systems science - with an emphasis on communication systems.

 

The organizations microelectronic focus includes digital and mixed signal integrated circuits, analog to digital converters, low noise amplifiers, MEMS, lasers and photonic components and other related specialized areas. Part of the organizations services include prototype wafer fabrication, packaging and test. 

 

The microelectronics division specializes in high speed semiconductors with operating speeds beyond 40 Gbps. HRL has extensive knowledge of high-speed semiconductor processes such as InP, GaAs, HBT, GaN, SiGe BICMOS and RF CMOS.
