Netlogic Microsystems, which made The Perfect Display's list of high growth
fabless companies, offers a network processor based on a Content Addressable Memory (CAM) architecture. Netlogic markets its
CAM chips as a network search engine, which has applications in networks and specialty computers
- specifically for database search applications.
Netlogic for the first nine months of 2004 reported a dramatic increase
in revenue from its 2003 levels. The growth in revenue is attributed to product
shipments to network equipment leader, Cisco Systems. Netlogic has in the past obtained significant product development revenue
from Micron Technology, a major DRAM memory chip producer in the United
States.
