Quickoffice, a company that offers mobile office document software for smartphones,  has announced that it has secured $11.5 million in a private equity financing. 

The company's software gives smart phones the capability to execute Microsoft Office programs, giving phone users the ability to create, view and edit word processing and spreadsheet documents. Quickoffice's software is available for numerous cellular phones including Vodafone, Orange, China Mobile and Cingular.
