The Center for Economic Growth (CEG), based in Albany, New York has opened "Tech Valley West" in Cupertino, California. A grant from Niagara Mohawk, which has been involved with furthering New York’s technology base, helped with the establishment of the office. CEG primary emphasis is on the technology and business development in New York’s Tech Valley. Recently a $2 billion nanofab facility has been established in New York’s Tech Valley at Albany NanoTech.
Giving one reason for the west cost location was Kelly Lovell, CEG's President and CEO, "As technology leaders across the country and the world seek to collaborate and enter expanded markets, CEG's West Coast location will serve as a consistent, visible presence and an easily reachable contact point."
