Camtek Ltd. (NASDAQ:CAMT) has reported that FIMI Opportunity Fund L.P. and FIMI Israel Opportunity Fund limited partnership (FIMI), have invested $5,000,000 into Camtek through a five year convertible loan. Camtek designs and makes optical inspection systems used in the printed circuit board, semiconductor manufacturing and semiconductor packaging industries. The company indicates that its products enhance the yields for these industries.

With the announcement, Ishay Davidi, CEO of FIMI stressed Camtek’s products for the semiconductor market, "We are excited about this opportunity to share Camtek's future prosperity, as we have strong belief in Camtek's management team and in the outstanding opportunity presented by Camtek's new systems for the semiconductor manufacturing and packaging industries. We believe that these systems are becoming strong growth engines for Camtek."
