SunPower Files with SEC for $100 Million Plus IPO

SunPower Corporation, a subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor, has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering. Few details were reported, however the filing seeks to obtain $100 million through the sale of $100 million in common stock plus $15 million more through an option granted to underwriters.

SunPower, which has been ramping up its high-efficiency solar cell plants as part of its plan to increase its revenue and market share in the solar market.
