The Colorado Governor's Office of Energy Management and
Conservation (OEMC) has received grants for the promotion and development and conservation energy valued at $361,407. The
grant funds are to be matched by funds from the sub-grantees. Funding is being provided for alternate, clean and efficient
fuels, energy efficient buildings, and Colorado’s biomass transformation. Drew Bolin, the director at the OEMC indicated
the funds would help Colorado in its efforts to lower fuel costs, "OEMC is committed to helping our state make the best use
of our energy resources. These grants will help Colorado explore ways to address the rising costs of fuel through measures
such as energy efficiency and alternative fuels."
