98% YoY Growth: OLED Accelerates Penetration into Esports and High-End Display Markets

According to the latest survey from TrendForce, the global OLED monitor market demonstrated strong growth resilience in the second quarter of 2026. As major brands rolled out new models to lift overall shipments, the market also gained impetus from restocking demand driven by the annual 618 mid-year e-commerce promotion. Coupled with the deepening penetration and active promotion of the mainstream 27-inch QHD models, momentum across the entire industrial chain picked up comprehensively.

The combined favorable tailwinds pushed Q2 OLED monitor shipments up 26.1% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ). Compared with the same period in 2025, year-on-year (YoY) growth reached as high as 98%, nearly doubling shipment volume. This reflects the rapidly expanding penetration of OLED display technology in the esports and high-end display sectors.

The ranking of the top five OLED monitor brands by shipments in Q2 remained unchanged from Q1. ASUS retained the top spot with a 23.1% market share, buoyed by 618 promotions and robust demand from esports venue markets.

Samsung held second place with a 13.1% market share, while MSI took third position with 12.8%, boosted by the 618 sales campaign. Notably, the gap between Samsung and MSI narrowed to just 0.3 percentage points due to differences in promotional strategies and regional market deployment.

AOC secured fourth place in Q2 with an 8.6% market share, supported by its aggressive new product launch and portfolio expansion — particularly strong performance of its core 27-inch QHD lineup — and steady demand from the Chinese market.

LGE ranked fifth with an 8.4% market share. Its 39-inch WUHD high-end models scaled up shipments as expected in Q2, significantly lifting the brand’s overall OLED monitor performance and delivering solid quarter-on-quarter growth.

TrendForce noted that with increasingly abundant panel supply, emerging brands have achieved notable shipment breakthroughs. Their rapidly expanding shipment scale is quickly narrowing the gap with leading players, making potential shifts in future rankings a trend worth monitoring.
