On April 2, South Korean display industry research firm UBI Research announced on March 31 that the market size of mid-to-large size OLED is expected to grow from approximately $11.5 billion this year to around $20 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.8% and an overall increase of roughly 74% over the period.

The institution holds that mid-to-large size OLED panels will achieve more vigorous growth in the monitor and automotive display segments, especially monitors, which are projected to account for 26% of the total mid-to-large size OLED market by 2030 and become a key growth driver. One reason is that OLED has inherent advantages in response time and contrast ratio, leading a growing number of esports gamers to adopt OLED monitors.
