On March 4, market research firm Omdia’s Micro LED Display Market Tracker reported that Micro LED display revenue is expected to surge 100% year-on-year, rising from $52.4 million in 2025 to $105.4 million in 2026.

According to Omdia, although Micro LED display applications in public displays, ultra-large TVs, smartwatches, and smart glasses remain limited, rapidly maturing manufacturing capabilities and the adoption of new products are expected to drive significant near-term growth in shipments and revenue.
Omdia noted that typical LED-on-Si (LEDoS) displays have a diagonal size of 0.1 to 0.2 inches and a resolution ranging from 4,000 to 6,000 pixels per inch (PPI), making them highly suitable for AR, VR, MR, and near-eye display applications.
Compared with LCoS or OLED-on-Si (OLEDoS), LEDoS offers higher brightness and resolution. As a result, a growing number of global brands are expanding AI services via smart glasses and planning to adopt LEDoS in their wearable display solutions.
Omdia believes Micro LED displays are most likely to achieve early growth in specialized application markets where competing technologies cannot meet performance requirements:
ultra-large displays with low PPI, ultra-small displays with high PPI, and stretchable displays that can conform to curved surfaces.
These innovative applications are expected to become key drivers for the widespread adoption of Micro LED displays in the future.
Looking ahead, Omdia forecasts that Micro LED display revenue will nearly double from $52.4 million in 2025 to $105.4 million in 2026, and reach approximately $6.8 billion by 2032, accounting for around 4.4% of the total flat panel display market.
