On March 12, Omdia released a forecast on March 10 (UK local time) stating that shipments of polarizer-free (Pol-less) OLED display panels will achieve a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22.7% between 2026 and 2032, reaching 244 million units by 2032.

According to Omdia, Pol-less OLED is currently one of the key innovations in OLED display technology. Among the relevant solutions, the COE color filter approach is particularly prominent: it is increasingly emerging as a strong potential alternative to polarizers. Meanwhile, the SPL simplified polarizer layer technology is expected to find application in low-cost OLED panels.
